The 'paged results' feature was a part of the original Internet Archive. The original format also displayed a thumbnail of each item and a good text description. That feature was removed in March 2015 due to what was called an upgrade. Those "improvements" seemed to be put in place to dumb down the Archive and create a "phone friendly" interface.

Based on the unpleasantness that occurred during the "Public Input" portion of that upgrade there will be no changes made to restore that function.

An outside used created their own search page that worked fairly well for a while but more "upgrades" caused the thumbnail portion to partially fail. It is still fairly useful. Link below.

The thumbnails and the descriptions are still there. Just click "show details" and "show thumbnails". The only missing thing is the page selector, if you don't want to scroll you have to add &page=N to the URL manually
